While we cannot vouch for all ceramic bird houses, the Bird House Ball by Cōppa Cō. is safe for outdoor use and very durable. It will not rot like a wooden birdhouse, and it is easily cleaned with soap and water.

The Bird House Ball is equipped with three drainage holes on the bottom to prevent mold growth and cracking from freezing temperatures, as well as a quarter-inch air flow hole. The sleek, high functioning design allows water to roll off, and any moisture that gets inside will drain out and dry. Any debris that accumulates inside the bird house will need to be removed and cleaned on occasion in order to be properly maintained.

The hanging wire is made of stainless steel, with a loop closure that holds fast and endures all weather. Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion and rust.
